新年快乐! Happy New Year!
Lunch date with my valentine.
First day of preschool. They grow up so quickly.
I'm going on parental leave for December to be with August and Max, so you'll hear from me a little less. We have a couple more Facebook and philanthropy announcements this year and then I'll see you all in 2018!
It was an honor to thank this group of veterans in person on the last stop of my Year of Travel. Thank you to all who have served.
Inspired by the Dreamers I met in Oklahoma City. A good reminder that we need to pass the Dream Act before the end of this year.
It's an honor to host Taoiseach Leo Varadkar T.D. at Facebook. It's inspiring to meet a new generation of world leaders recently elected as heads of state in countries around the world. Ireland is an important part of our global community. Dublin is where our international HQ is located and our Clonee Data Center will be one of the most advanced in the world -- and powered by 100% renewable energy.
Taking these little wild things out to trick or treat for the first time.
Today we're celebrating Javier Olivan's 10 year anniversary of joining Facebook! Javi has been one of the most influential people in Facebook's history. Javi, thank you for being a great friend and partner, and for everything you do to bring the world closer together.
Today we announced Oculus Go -- a standalone headset that doesn't require you to snap in a phone or attach a cable. It's the most accessible virtual reality experience we've ever built. #OC4
Carousels have gotten a lot more awesome since I was a kid.
For shabbat tonight, we gave Max a kiddush cup that has been in our family for almost 100 years. Her great-great-grandfather Max got it after our family immigrated here and it has been passed down through our family ever since.
I think Max is really starting to take after me since I've been on paternity leave.
Baby cuddles are the best.
Priscilla and I are so happy to welcome our daughter August!
Our first data center in Prineville, Oregon was in the path of totality during today's solar eclipse.
Our new daughter is coming soon so I'm planning to take two months of paternity leave. I'm looking forward to bonding with our new little one and taking Max on adventures. I'm pretty sure the office will still be standing when I get back.
Every summer we run Facebook Academy to connect high school juniors from our local community in Menlo Park and East Palo Alto with mentors so they can get experience working in the tech industry. Congrats to this year's graduates and good luck at school next year!
