Pretending to be a Scientist as we trawl for microplastics 🤓🔭 Every trawl that @greenpeace has carried out during their Atlantic Coast tour has contained plastic 😢 we may not see it but plastic is everywhere! Sign the plastic pledge in my bio #endoceanplastics #protectourcoast

Sunrise on The Arctic Sunrise 🌅 @greenpeace
What is trawling you may ask? Its kind of like fishing but unfortunately for plastic. We use a net, lower it down into the water and drag it behind the ship for an hour. Once we pull it up we wash it through a sieve to see what types of plastic are polluting the waters. The plastic we found today should not be in the Ocean as it’s harming wildlife like turtles and fish. Please join me in taking the plastic pledge and learn more about how you can use less plastic and protect the ocean 🌎 link in my bio!

In love with this photo series by @noralorek for @natgeo In August the one millionth refugee escaped the war in South Sudan and entered Uganda. Here women stand framed by their Milaya, a traditional Sudanese handmade bed linen. One of the few processions they were able to take when they abandoned their homes. This tradition of embroidery continues as they settle in Bidibidi, what is now the largest refugee camp in the world.
